Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi

Arrive Delhi Airport/Railway Station, meet and greet by our representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight Stay in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi - Mandawa

After breakfast we drive for Mandawa. Known for its very popular Mandawa Fort, Mandawa is a quaint little town in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. Popularly known as the Open Art Gallery, the town is replete with paved archways and magnificent havelis and fortresses. It is located in the heart of the Shekhawati region and is dotted with palaces and splendid mansions (havelis). The aura and vibe of the place reflect the social and cultural environment of the place in the bygone era.

Owing to its royal rendition, it is also a hot spot for movie shoots and is filled in by media on and off the year. Mandawa is situated in the north Indian state of Rajasthan around 190 km off Jaipur, the capital of the state. The heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan lies the beautiful small town Mandawa, known throughout the state for its forts and havelis. Day 03: Mandawa - Ramgarh - Hansi

After Breakfast, drive to Hansi vis Ramgarh , Located around 34 kms west of the town of MANDAWA is Ramgarh which was once of the wealthiest towns in 19th century India. Ramgarh is situtated in the Sikar district of Northen Rajasthan. Ramgarh is the 2nd town which can be visited one day trip from Mandawa. Ramgarh Rajasthan in India is one of the cities which was established by the Poddar merchant family. Exquisite Havelis and grand forts make Ramgarh in Rajasthan India one of the beautiful tourist places.

History says that the Poddar merchants left the village of Churu in Rajasthan after they had a major altercation with Thakur. It was a flourishing village during that time and it had been one of the beautiful places. But then their disagreement led to a major conflict with the Thakur. So they left Churu and with the help of Raja of Sikar they founded this beautiful town of Ramgarh in Rajasthan in India. Founded in the year 1791, the Poddars aimed to make Ramgarh as beautiful as Churu.

Afternoon drive for Hansi. Hansi is an ancient fort town that is located in the State of Haryana. It is famous for its forts and ancient buildings and once was a prosperous city. It is said that the city was once home to a sword manufacturing company which was set up the King Prithviraj Chauhan. The swords that were made here were exported to the Middle East and were known for its high quality. Overnight stay in Hansi.

Day 04: Hansi - Patiala

After breakfast drive for Patiala its about 200kms 5-6 hrs from Hansi. On arrival check in hotel after fresh up start with Patiala local sightseeing like:

Qila Mubarak Complex. The Qila Mubarak complex stands in 10-acre ground in the heart of the city, and contains the main palace or Qila Androon (literally,'inner fort'), the guest house or Ran Baas and the Darbar Hall. Sheesh Mahal was built behind the main Moti Bagh Palace to serve as a pleasure complex.The paintings in two of its well maintained, mirror-worked chambers are of Kangra and Rajasthaniqalam, depicting the poetic visions of Keshav, Surdas and Bihari.

Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib: This shrine is situated in what used to be the village of Lehal, now part of Patiala city. According to local tradition, supported by an old handwritten document preserved in the Gurdwara, one Bhag Ram, a jhivar of Lehal, waited upon Guru TeghBahadur during his sojourn at Saifabad (now Bahadurgarh), and made the request that he might be pleased to visit and bless his village so that its inhabitants could be rid of a serious and mysterious sickness which had been their bane for a long time. Day 05: Patiala - Amritsar

After breakfast drive for Amritsar from Patiala about 250kms. 4-5hrs. On arrival check in hotel. In the evening visit Wagah Border "India–Pakistan Border" which is famous for its 'Retreat' ceremony at the time of sunset. Indeed the flag-lowering ceremony at the end of each day on the India-Pakistan border at Wagah in Punjab has over the years become a tourist destination.

The two flag posts are located contiguous to the boundary line between the two gates. The Wagah check-point is about mid-way between the cities of Lahore in Pakistan and Amritsar in India, each about 25 kilometers away. After that in evening back to the Hotel, Overnight at Amritsar Hotel.

Day 06: Amritsar Local

After Breakfast, Start your city tour with the blessings of Sri Harmandir Sahib, is named after Hari (God) the temple of God, also known as the Golden Temple in Amritsar is the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. It was built by the fifth Sikh guru, Guru Arjan, in the 16th Century. In 1604, Guru Arjan completed the Adi Granth, the holy scripture of Sikhism. There are four doors to get into the Harmandir Sahib, which symbolize the openness of the Sikhs towards all people and religions. The Gurdwara is surrounded by a large lake or holy tank, known as the Sarovar, which consists of Amrit (holy water). Sri Harmandir Sahib is the heritage of the Sikh people gathered in their five hundred years old history.

Jallianwala Bagh Then visit Jallianwala Bagh which is a memorial to the countless numbers of innocent Indians which were massacred by General Dyer in 13 April 1919which happened to be 'Baisakhi', one of Punjab's largest religious festivals. British General, Edward Dyer, ordered his soldiers to opened fire on an unarmed gathering of Hundreds men, women and children in this place.

After lunch visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum- The summer place of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It is surrounded by the lovely garden Ram Bagh. Maharaja Ranjit Singh is a prominent figure, who had carved a niche for himself in the history of India. The Museum displays objects connecting to Maharaja Ranjit Singh such as arms and armour, outstanding paintings and century’s old coins and manuscripts.

Durgiana Temple Visit Durgiana Temple, Durgiana Temple is a premier Hindu temple of Punjab situated in the city of Amritsar. This temple derives its name from the Goddess Durga and it is also called by the name of Lakshmi Narayan Temple. Overnight stay at Hotel in Amritsar

Day 07: Amritsar - Anandpur Sahib

After Breakfast drive 200 Km 5 Hrs to Anandpur Sahib, Anandpur Sahib India is also known as the holy City of Bliss and is one of the major sacred sites for the Sikhs. Nestled amidst the picturesque scenic beauty, with Sutlej River flowing beside, makes it a major religious site. It was founded in June 1665 by the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur ... In 1693, Aurangzeb issued an order that banned large gatherings of Sikhs such as during the festival of Baisakhi. In 1699, Guru Gobind Singh founded the Khalsa panth and gathered a large armed militia.

It is usually celebrated one day after the Hindu festival, Holi that celebrates the arrival of spring. Hola Mohalla was created by the tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh in 1757 to appeal to the bravery and courage of his community as it struggled against the Mughal invaders.

Hola Mohalla, also called Hola, is a one-day Sikh festival which most often falls in March and takes place on the second day of the lunar month of Chett, a day after the Hindu spring festival Holi but sometimes coincides with Holi. Hola Mohalla is a big festive event for Sikhs around the world. Overnight stay in Anandpur Sahib.

Day 08: Anandpur Sahib

After breakfast start you tour with Hola Mahalla in Anandpur Sahib. Hola Mahalla is a Sikh Olympics event which begins on the first day of the lunar month of Chet in the Nanakshahi calendar. It most often falls in March, and sometimes coincides with the Sikh New Year.

The event lasts for a week, and consists of camping out and enjoying various displays of fighting prowess and bravery, followed by kirtan, music, and poetry. For meals, which is an integral part of the Sikh institution (Gurdwara), visitors sit together in pangats (Queues) and eat vegetarian food of the Langars.The event concludes with a long, military-style procession near Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, one of the five seats of temporal authority of the Sikhs. Day 09: Anandpur Sahib

After breakfast at Hotel. We visit Anandpur Sahib for festival of Hola Mahalla. Hola Mohalla is actually an annual fair that is organised in a large scale at Anandpur Sahib in Punjab on the day following the festival of Holi. Practise of holding a fair of this kind was initiated by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru. Purpose of the fair was to physically strengthen the Sikh community by holding military exercises and mock battles.

Day 10: Anandpur SAHIB - Chandigarh

After breakfast drive for Chandigarh. On arrival check in hotel. After freshup start with local tour in Chandigarh. Start your city tour with Rock Garden which consist of various arts and objects made of industrial and urban waste. It is situated in sector-1. The credit of its foundation goes to Dr Nek Chand who was the road inspector in the Engineering department of Chandigarh. Then visit to Sukhna Lake that lies in the foothills of shivalik range. People visit in the morning to enjoy fresh breeze.

It serves as a picnic spot and good place for water activities. After that visit Rose Garden which is Asia's largest rose garden. It contains more than 17,000 plants and over 16,000 varieties of roses. The venue serves annual rose festival or festival of gardens. In the evening enjoy shopping in sector 17 market. Back to hotel, overnight stay in Chandigarh hotel.

Day 11: Chandigarh - Rishikesh

After breakfast we drive for Rishikesh. Rishikesh is town in the Dehradun District of Uttarakhand state in India. Rishikesh is situated at 409 meters above sea level in the foothills of Garhwal Himalayan Range and surrounded by the Shivalik range. Rishikesh is known for its adventure activites, ancient temples, popular cafes and as the “ Yoga Capital of the World”. With whitewater rafting industry growing and varied camping and café spots spruiging up, Rishikesh has grown immensely as a favourite, catering to people with different needs. Overnight stay in Rishikesh at hotel.

Day 12: Rishikesh - Haridwar - Rishikesh

After breakfast drive for local tour in Rishikesh-Haridwar. Haridwar is one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimage places. River Ganges enters the North Indian plains at Haridwar. Ram Jhula is a famous landmark place in Rishikesh city. It is an iron suspension bridge over holy river Ganga. Ram Jhula has the length of 450 feet connecting Shivananda Ashram with Swargashram. Ram Jhula also offers a panoramic view of river Ganga , Lakshman Jhula is an iron suspension bridge over the holy river Ganga at Rishikesh. A famous landmark place in Rishikesh, Lakshman Jhula is 450 feet length connecting Pauri district with Tehri district. Lakshman Jhula also offers a panoramic view of river Ganga

In the evening, you can visit Hari Ki Puri, which literally means the Lord's Footsteps. One of the most revered places in the city; it is believed to have the footprint of Lord Vishnu himself. Here you can take a dip in the River Ganga and see the Ganga Arti . Overnight stay in Rishikeh at hotel.

Day 13: Rishikesh - Delhi / Departure.
